Is my data private?
Yes. Caliber has no server. Everything stays on your device and syncs only to your private iCloud. Serial numbers and photos never leave your device in a backup. See our Privacy Policy.
Does my data sync across devices?
Yes — through your own iCloud account (Apple CloudKit). Sign into the same Apple ID on each device and your armory, range log, and progress follow you. It also restores after reinstalling.
How do I back up my data?
Profile → Export creates a JSON backup you can save anywhere. For your privacy, photos and serial numbers are intentionally excluded from the file.
How does target scanning work?
On the Range tab, log a session and add a target photo. Tap "Scan for holes," then fine-tune by tapping or dragging. Tip: fill the frame with the target, shoot straight-on in good light, and enter how many rounds you fired so misses count toward your score. Up to ~12 holes per target scans most reliably; it works best with rifle and handgun holes.
